Financial Analyst

Description:

Provides financial and functional reporting and analysis to support growing global company. Responsible for accounting functions necessary for the production of timely and accurate financial reporting to governmental regulatory agencies, external auditors and the senior management. Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Responsibilities also include reporting the organization’s finances to management and making recommendations about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Performs complex business assignments to include, systems implementations, special projects, investment strategies, financial accounting and analysis, business process evaluations, financial control or compliance assessments and acquisition due diligence. Includes responsibility for internal financial controls and required compliance reviews for domestic and foreign subsidiary operations.

Duties:

1. Perform detailed financial statement analyses.
2. Assist Controller and CFO with audit related issues and projects.
3. Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies to assure compliance.
4. Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.
5. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
6. Reconciles and recommends resolution for report discrepancies and problems.
7. Works with the CFO in performing various financial or budget analyses in the areas of profit planning, capital expenditures, investments, cash flow budgeting
8. Interprets data affecting business plans, such as price, yield, stability, future trends, and economic influences
9. Identifies business changes or improvement solutions and executes related accounting process changes
10. Proactively identifies and communicates financial risks and opportunities
11. Manages projects in the areas of finance and information technology.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Four- year accounting/finance degree; CPA preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience as a financial analyst; international experience preferred.
Successful experience working independently and with cross functional teams.
Experience with computer information systems and software applications preferred.
High level of competence with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Proven dependability, accuracy, and judgment.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills required.
