Description: |
| Under general supervision, performs various accounting duties associated with the following: generation of miscellaneous invoices; recordkeeping; and posting of daily receipts. Position will also support the Town Accountant and other positions in department. |
Qualifications: |
Comprehensive knowledge of governmental accounting principles and bookkeeping terminology, methods, and procedures; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to establish and follow detailed work procedures; ability to post accounts and to perform mathematical computations with accuracy. Interaction with the public may be required.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a four-year degree from an accredited college in accounting, economics, or other similar disciple with experience in governmental accounting work preferred. Prefer a CPA.
